Description
Cochise County, through an Arizona Department of Housing HOME grant, is soliciting a qualified, licensed contractor for comprehensive repairs and weatherization at a single residence. The scope includes asphalt-shingle roof replacement with decking repairs and ventilation, installation of a high-efficiency Energy Star electric heat pump, electrical-panel and wiring upgrades, smoke detectors, window replacement, plumbing and bathroom repairs, water-heater disconnect work, kitchen drainline repairs, and installation of an electric stove. The contractor must test for mold in specified areas and perform remediation and finish work if mold is present. Work also includes energy-efficiency measures identified by a required energy audit, with project-specific measures to be issued by addendum. Applicable building permits must be obtained before construction begins. Bidders must be licensed, registered, and in good standing with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and the awarded vendor must be registered in SAM.gov. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required, and proposals must be submitted electronically through the county's e-procurement website.
