Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, is soliciting design-build proposals for the construction of a Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV) Hangar at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The project involves constructing a new addition and altering an existing TUAV hangar to support the storage and maintenance of Group 3 Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The scope includes one aircraft storage hangar, one covered aircraft refueling pit, one covered fuel storage area, two aircraft monitor buildings, two aircraft monitor canopies, and associated aprons and taxiways. The work also includes installation of a fire suppression system, utility monitoring and control systems, sustainability energy enhancements, and supporting facilities such as site development, utilities, lighting, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, landscaping, and signage. The design must incorporate DoD Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards, provide access for individuals with disabilities, and include comprehensive interior design services. Heating and air conditioning will be provided via self-contained systems. Facilities must be designed for a minimum life of 40 years in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02), including energy efficiencies and integrated building systems performance.
