Description
Cochise County is soliciting a contractor for federally funded HOME housing rehabilitation at 924 American Avenue in Bisbee, Arizona. The work includes obtaining permits; installing an electric heat-pump HVAC system; replacing the roof and decking as needed; installing moisture barriers, aluminum siding, concrete steps, door components, handrails, and porch steps; painting the porch/deck; performing plumbing repairs and fixture replacements; correcting electrical receptacle issues; and completing weatherization and energy-efficiency improvements identified by an energy audit, including possible attic insulation, air sealing, and duct sealing or repair. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and related services; coordinate inspections; remove construction debris; prepare a completion schedule; and comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Bidders must be licensed and in good standing with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and registered and verified in SAM.gov. The proposal package includes a qualification statement, similar-project information, a statement of days to complete, the completed ITB/bid proposal, certifications, and required bid security. The bid form states that work must be completed within 180 calendar days after contract time commences. The solicitation evaluates price, capacity, similar past projects, and days to completion.
