Description
The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is seeking a full-service civil or structural engineering team to repair and stabilize the damaged concrete spillway and downstream drainage channel at Schilling Lake. The scope includes review of existing information, site investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, topographic survey, a minimum of eight exploratory borings, geotechnical analysis, evaluation and design of three trail-crossing culvert replacements, and development of at least three spillway repair options. The selected consultant will prepare 35%, 65%, 95%, and 100% plans, specifications, and estimates; support environmental and building permitting; prepare the bid form; provide bidding support; and optionally perform sediment infill analysis and construction administration/project closeout. Deliverables must comply with specified GIS and CAD standards, including georeferenced DWG files, State Plane Coordinate System coordinates, and NAVD88 vertical datum. Proposals are limited to 12 pages excluding resumes and must address approach, team qualifications, comparable experience, references, firm qualifications, phased fees, optional tasks, and acceptance of the District's agreement, insurance, and indemnification requirements.
