Description
Volusia County is soliciting bids to establish an agreement with one or more contractors for comprehensive fire protection services at approximately 160 County-owned and leased facilities. The scope includes inspection, testing, certification, maintenance, repair, recharge, hydrostatic testing, replacement, installation, relocation, removal, and emergency response for portable fire extinguishers, commercial kitchen and other chemical suppression systems, fire hose equipment, and related devices. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, vehicles, equipment, tools, permits, testing equipment, replacement materials, and transportation. Services must comply with applicable Florida requirements, NFPA standards, OSHA requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and authority-having-jurisdiction requirements. The contractor must maintain 24-hour emergency response capability, meet specified response times, provide electronic inspection reports and Microsoft Excel inventory records, employ qualified and properly licensed technicians, and furnish new OEM or manufacturer-approved replacement equipment and components when authorized. The agreement has an initial three-year term with two optional one-year renewals. Respondents must complete all pricing tables and provide the required questionnaire responses, forms, references, insurance evidence, and other documentation through the County's procurement portal.
