Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting janitorial services for its District 4 office building. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, travel, and incidentals for cleaning the basement and floors 1 through 15, excluding floors 3 through 5, at approximately 43,000 square feet per floor. Services include floor and carpet cleaning, restroom and kitchen cleaning, waste and recycling handling, high-touch surface sanitizing, dusting, window and door cleaning, periodic floor care, and related janitorial tasks. The work requires two daily shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., staffed by Custodian I and Custodian II personnel. The contractor must maintain janitorial-services registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations, comply with specified wage and employee-benefit requirements, and submit the required bid certifications and proof of registration. Subcontracting is not permitted. The agreement is expected to run from February 15, 2027, through February 14, 2030, subject to approval and notice to proceed.
