Description
Trent University is soliciting proposals for annual window and skylight cleaning services across approximately one million square feet of buildings at its Symons Main Campus and Catherine Parr Traill Campus. The scope includes interior and exterior windows, skylights, ledges, frames, tracks, screens, glass partitions, eaves, and downspouts, including scraping paint, insects, or adhesive where necessary and properly reinstalling screens. The tallest building is six stories and requires bosun's chair work. Tucker poles, high-pressure spraying, and extension poles are prohibited. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, scheduling, safety practices, uniforms or identification badges, and quality control. Services are generally performed annually between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on normal working days, with additional on-demand cleaning potentially requested and invoiced separately. Bata Library, Athletic Building, and Trent Student Centre must be completed by the end of May before Convocation. Proposals must include the required submission and pricing forms, experience and resources information, safe work practices and work plan, environmental sustainability information, and three relevant references. The contract is structured as a two-year term with two optional one-year extensions.
