Description
Salt Lake City Corporation is soliciting a complete, operational virtual reality law enforcement training solution for its Police Department. The system must include hardware, software and upgrades, licensing, immersive law enforcement training content, implementation, configuration, testing, instructor and administrator training, documentation, warranty coverage, technical support, and maintenance. The proposed system should support scenario-based training in de-escalation, crisis intervention, behavioral-health encounters, judgment and decision-making, alternatives to use of force, tactical decision-making, officer safety, team response, critical incidents, firearms and less-lethal decision-making, and community interactions. Instructors must be able to control and customize scenarios, assess trainees, conduct debriefings and after-action reviews, and modify scenario progression based on trainee actions and verbal responses. The contract term is five years. The City identifies total project funding of $322,770 and requires a not-to-exceed total price.
