Description
The contractor will provide as-needed written and webpage translation, including scientific and technical materials, and real-time interpretation in person or by telephone or virtually. Requested languages include Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian (Khmer), German, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mixteco, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Zapotec, among others. Services include standard and premium translation, webpage and online-document translation, scientific/technical translation, general editing and proofreading, and interpretation. Translated deliverables must be accessible; the contractor must also provide interpretation equipment and technicians as needed. The agreement is for services on an as-needed basis, with a maximum budget of $97,500. The State expects to award one agreement to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after applicable preferences or incentives. The bid requires a completed cost worksheet and other specified forms, a narrative of no more than two pages, three qualifying references, and business-license and California Secretary of State standing evidence. Insurance certificates and information are required from the awarded bidder before contract execution, not with the bid.
