Description
The City of Thornton seeks qualified vendors to provide interpretation for scheduled and emergency court proceedings involving people with limited English proficiency or who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services include in-person, telephone, and video interpretation, along with translation of written documents. The work covers a range of municipal court proceedings and commonly requested languages, with reasonable efforts expected for less common languages. Three interpreters are required for the Thursday morning docket, primarily for Spanish-language interpretation. Vendors must provide appropriately qualified interpreters, support simultaneous interpretation, maintain confidentiality and impartiality, and meet the court’s scheduling and response needs. The scope also includes on-demand and expedited assignments, interpreter staffing and continuity, quality assurance, and accurate billing. Proposals must answer the solicitation’s questions, provide the requested references and technical information, and include the completed pricing sheet and required vendor forms.
