Description
The City seeks a contractor to construct a new wellhead treatment facility at Pump Station 102A and install a raw-water transmission main connecting it to Pump Station 102. The treatment system includes two pairs of granular activated carbon vessels with carbon media, associated piping and flow meters, sodium hypochlorite storage and metering equipment, and chlorine and nitrate analyzers. The work also includes site grading, concrete work, stormwater and washwater disposal, fencing and gates, landscaping and irrigation, and electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. The project is a public works construction contract with a 70-working-day completion period from the Notice to Proceed. The bid requires a 10% bid deposit, a valid California Class A contractor's license, and a Statement of Qualifications on file or submitted with the bid. A 100% payment bond and 100% performance bond are required after award, with contract documents. The project is subject to the City's Community Workforce Agreement and local hiring program. The construction allocation is $5,200,000; the solicitation states this is informational and is not warranted to represent the City's estimated construction cost.
