Description
The City of San Leandro is soliciting proposals for software and consulting services to implement a new public safety systems environment for its Police Department, including computer-aided dispatch, records management, jail management, and property/evidence management. The City prefers an integrated enterprise solution but will consider proposals for individual system replacements, third-party solutions, customized solutions, or combinations thereof. The solicitation also addresses data conversion, system interfaces, security, testing, training, implementation, support, pricing, and contract terms. The City will use a train-the-trainer approach; the vendor would not train all users directly. The updated security questionnaire must be completed, and the proposal must include a copy of Addendum No. 2 signed by an authorized firm agent. The City states that the CJIS security addendum is to be executed if a proposer is selected for demonstrations or further engagement. Addendum No. 2 extends the proposal deadline to October 27, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. It also updates the IT security questionnaire and provides operational details, including 14 public safety dispatchers, two dispatch supervisors, 16 investigators, four property and evidence clerks, and 40 mobile units.
