Description
The City seeks an annual requirements contractor or contractors to provide as-needed, non-destructive water pipeline inspections and leak surveys across seven service groups. Work includes internal tethered and free-swimming acoustic leak and gas-pocket detection, manned and robotic electromagnetic inspections, internal free-swimming electromagnetic or ultrasonic inspections, and external pipeline wall-thickness assessment. Vendors may bid on one or more groups but must cover every line item within each group they bid on; the City may make awards by group to one or multiple vendors. Services include field inspections and tracking, site reconnaissance and work planning where specified, leak and pipe-defect location, and delivery of reports and geospatial GIS data compatible with the City’s system. Some groups also require CCTV, GPS-marked findings, expedited preliminary or final reporting, or evidence of prior technology use. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in internal leak detection and non-destructive condition assessment services.
