Description
The City of Fort Worth Water Department is seeking statements of qualifications from consultants to develop long-range retail and wholesale water usage and demand projections for its entire service area, including current Fort Worth and customer-entity Certificates of Convenience and Necessity. The selected consultant will analyze historical water use, population and employment projections, development patterns, customer characteristics, conservation trends, climate and weather variability, and related planning data across a 50-year horizon. The anticipated work includes project management and coordination; data collection and evaluation; a 20-year historical water-use analysis; retail and wholesale population projections; demand projections at 5-, 10-, 20-, 30-, and 50-year intervals; multiple demand scenarios; comparisons with other regional forecasts; and deliverables including a technical memorandum, wholesale customer questionnaires, GIS-compatible data, documented Excel or similar forecast models, a final report with key performance indicators, and a final presentation. The agreement is anticipated to have a one-year term, with a budget not to exceed $180,000. Qualifications packets are limited to 20 pages and must include the project team and resumes, project schedule and availability, related project experience and references, and a transmittal letter.
