Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is soliciting a four-year unit-price requirements contract for medical specialist services, specifically exercise tolerance tests for Port Authority Police Officer candidates. The contractor must provide appointments directly with a board-certified and properly licensed physician at a medical office, hospital, outpatient clinic, or emergency walk-in clinic located within five miles of 156 William Street, New York, New York, and within the Port District. Testing must use the specified modified Bruce Protocol and be administered no later than five business days after referral, whenever possible on the next available day. The contractor must communicate positive results verbally and in writing to the prospective employee, promptly notify the Chief Medical Officer, and send required documentation to the Port Authority Office of Medical Services. Negative results and physician referrals must also be documented and transmitted within the stated deadlines. The contract includes a four-year base term, one one-year option period, and a possible 120-day extension. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of relevant continuous experience and submit proof of meeting the prerequisite. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability if applicable, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, professional liability, and cyber liability coverage at the specified limits.
