Description
The City of Pittsburgh, through its Office of Management and Budget and Department of Human Resources & Civil Service, is seeking proposals from qualified physicians or physician groups to provide Civil Service Physician and/or Medical Review Officer services. The City may award contracts for Civil Service Physician functions, Certified Medical Review Officer functions, or both collectively, and may contract with multiple physicians or groups. Services include medical examinations for candidates and employees in arduous, non-sedentary positions; fitness-for-duty evaluations; review and collection of workplace drug-testing specimens under Department of Transportation regulations and City policies; medical review officer functions; and maintenance of current employee medical records at the contractor’s site. The contractor must provide on-site, evening, early morning, and/or weekend capabilities, use Pennsylvania-licensed physicians, and have at least one physician certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers. Proposals must include a response to the scope, qualifications and references, project-team qualifications, approach and plan, cost proposal, and documentation of good-faith efforts to obtain minority-, women-, and veteran-owned business participation.
