Description
Escambia County Solid Waste Department seeks a sole-source contractor to provide a three-month pilot NanoSORB system for treating landfill leachate. The contractor must design, deliver, commission, oversee, and later decommission the system, including installation and startup support, PPE and consumables, equipment, pumps, an enmeshment tank with mixer, and 6,000 pounds of NanoSORB media. The system is intended to reduce ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, UVT, and potentially PFAS to support increased discharge volumes. The contractor must provide a sampling and analytical plan, compile and interpret collected data, prepare recommendations for future leachate use, and provide up to 12 hours per month of remote technical support. Escambia County is expected to operate, maintain, and monitor the pilot system. The vendor questionnaire asks whether the company can provide the advertised products or services, supply NanoSORB materials without purchasing them from a third party, and operate a platform for feeding and distributing NanoSORB material into leachate facilities.
