Description
The Town of Lyons is seeking a vendor or concessionaire to provide and operate a temporary portable sauna experience during the 2026–2027 winter/off-season. The operation may be located at Bohn Park or LaVern Johnson Park and must complement public park use while maintaining safety, quiet operations, park-rule compliance, and community character. The proposer must provide the sauna units, changing areas, support elements, staffing, supervision, security, maintenance, cleanliness, customer management, utilities plan, site plan, equipment specifications, advertising approach, and regulatory compliance plan. The proposed footprint may not exceed 2,000 square feet at Bohn Park or 1,200 square feet at LaVern Johnson Park. Operations must occur within the applicable seasonal dates and daily operating hours specified for the selected site. Proposals must include a proposed weekly or monthly use/impact fee, total anticipated payment to the Town, and treatment of additional restroom-cleaning costs. The mobile sauna must obtain required Boulder County Public Health approvals and applicable Town inspections and fire-marshal sign-off before the vendor agreement can be considered. Proposals must address experience, at least three comparable projects, three professional references, operational planning, site and equipment details, regulatory compliance, and fee structure.
