Description
Harrison County Commission is soliciting bids for improvements to approximately 5.2 miles of existing rail-trail between the Mt. Clare Volunteer Fire Department and the existing trailhead at Lost Creek. Work includes resurfacing the aggregate trail surface, ditch cleanout, drainage improvements, traffic control measures, signage, fence replacement, and bridge decking and fall-protection improvements. The contract requires substantial completion within 210 calendar days and final payment readiness within 240 calendar days after the contract times commence. Liquidated damages are $500 per day. Bidders must hold a West Virginia contractor's license and provide Drug Free Workplace Certification. A two-envelope submission system is required, with bid-opening compliance materials in the first envelope and the bid proposal in the second.
