Description
The Town of Masontown, West Virginia is soliciting bids for the Herring Road Water Line Replacement and Material Storage Building Project. The project includes the installation of approximately 6,000 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water line with associated valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and service reconnections. Additionally, the project involves the construction of a 40-foot by 60-foot material storage building with a concrete pad and underground electrical service. The work must be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the contract times commence, and fully completed and ready for final payment within 210 days. Liquidated damages are set at $1,000 per day. The project is funded in part with federal funds through the US Army Corps of Engineers Section 571 program, and the successful bidder must comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including Davis-Bacon wage requirements, Build America Buy America provisions, and DBE affirmative action requirements. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid, and bidders must hold a West Virginia Contractor's License. A two-envelope submission system will be used, and bids will be publicly opened on September 15, 2026.
