Description
The City of Laguna Beach is soliciting a Class A general engineering contractor for repairs and improvements at the Glenneyre Street Parking Structure. The scope includes non-destructive testing; post-tensioned beam repairs and strengthening using external steel rods, brackets, anchors, and synchronized stressing; structural steel fabrication and installation; concrete spall repairs; waterproofing injection grouting; traffic control and construction phasing; and intumescent fireproofing of exposed steel. The project also includes preparation and installation of a Sikalastic 720-One Shot polyurethane traffic-coating system on the top floor, replacement of wheel stops, and restriping of parking stalls, numbers, and pavement markers. The parking structure must remain operational with phased closures, and the contractor must maintain required vehicle and pedestrian access. The work is estimated at $710,000, has a 65-working-day duration, and is scheduled to begin January 19, 2027.
