Description
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is soliciting bids for an agency-specific term contract to furnish and deliver Glycol Ether EB (Butyl Cellosolve), also identified as 2-butoxyethanol, or a functional equivalent. The material must be a colorless liquid meeting the stated chemical, density, solubility, boiling-point, flash-point, and other performance specifications, and is used as a solvent in cleaners and strippers. The estimated annual quantity is 135,000 pounds, with an initial delivery requirement of 45,000 pounds in one tanker load within 15 consecutive calendar days after receipt of a purchase order. Deliveries are FOB destination to the Janitorial Products Plant, and the contract provides for as-needed ordering without a guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity. Bidders must provide pricing, delivery and product information, manufacturer authorization when requested, the manufacturer's standard warranty, customer references, and the listed certifications and sustainability information.
