Description
The City of Hampton is seeking a qualified Program Facilitator to deliver its Learn-to-Swim program for Hampton City Schools' second-grade students at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex. The selected contractor must provide certified or qualified swim instructors and on-site Site Supervisors, deliver a recognized curriculum such as SwimAmerica or an equivalent, track participant progress, provide completion certificates or recognition as applicable, train instructors and Site Supervisors, and coordinate scheduling, arrival and departure windows, and locker-room use with Aquaplex Operations. The Aquaplex will provide pool lifeguards, front-desk coverage, facility management, and public-area and restroom housekeeping support; Hampton City Schools will provide student transportation and teacher/support-staff supervision. Proposals must address the scope of work, past project experience and at least five comparable references, organizational capability and staff qualifications, a project schedule and proposed timeline, fee structure and cost estimate, minority- and woman-owned business participation, and any exceptions or alternatives. The solicitation permits only paper responses, which must be submitted to the Issuing Office. The contract is for one year, with up to two optional one-year renewal periods. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, professional liability, sexual abuse and molestation liability when applicable to work with children, and workers' compensation and employer's liability as required.
