Description
Yavapai County is soliciting bids for cover material chips in 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, 3/8-inch, and 1/2-inch gradations, plus pre-coated chips meeting specified aggregate gradation, durability, soundness, specific gravity, and asphalt-coating requirements. Pre-coated chips must use 0.5% to 0.70% PG 64-16 paving-grade asphalt cement, or an approved equal, and produce a dust-free material. The estimated quantity is 10,000 tons, with pricing requested for plant pickup and separate delivery rates per mile. The vendor must supply materials within 30 days after notice, perform required laboratory testing and certifications, and comply with the County's inspection and rejection requirements. The contract is for one year beginning December 1, 2026, with up to four additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement; purchases are not guaranteed.
