Description
The City of Gatesville, Texas, is soliciting proposals for a one-year annual unit-price contract covering the as-needed provision and delivery of Type D hot-mix asphalt concrete mix (HMAC) and hot-mix cold lay material (HMCL). The anticipated quantities are up to 2,000 tons of Type D HMAC under TxDOT Item 340 and 800 tons of Type D HMCL under TxDOT Item 334; the quantities are estimates and do not constitute a purchase commitment. Delivery within the city limits is requested if available. The bidder must identify its material production plant or distribution location and provide unit pricing for the materials and, if available, delivery. Production plants must be within 50 miles of the center of Gatesville. Proposals will be evaluated on material cost and material availability, with each criterion weighted at 50 points. The selected bidder must enter into a one-year agreement, and bid prices must remain guaranteed for 90 days after opening.
