The City of La Habra is soliciting proposals for end-to-end production of its Life in La Habra Magazine, including preflight and pre-press operations, CMYK color management, digital and physical proofing, saddle-stitch printing, trimming, and quality control. The contractor will produce approximately 27,000 finished copies for each of two annual editions, with an approximately 68-page format consisting of a 64-page interior and four-page cover. The scope also includes USPS-compliant direct-mail preparation, address processing, CASS certification and NCOA updates or Every Door Direct Mail carrier-route saturation, postal documentation, delivery to the USPS La Habra Branch, and delivery of approximately 500–1,000 overrun copies to City Hall. Proposals must include itemized pricing for printing, bindery, volume and page changes, mailing preparation, freight, local delivery, and option years. The contract has an initial one-year term with up to three additional one-year periods at the City's option. Subcontracting for mailing, postal sorting, or freight is permitted, but the prime contractor remains fully responsible for performance.
