Description
The County of Orange Social Services Agency is soliciting proposals for Independent Living Program services for eligible youth and young adults ages 16 through 25 who were or are placed in out-of-home care between ages 16 and 19, or as otherwise authorized by applicable regulations. The program is intended to help participants achieve self-sufficiency, transition into adulthood, and improve economic security. Required services include individualized meetings with trained staff; seminars, workshops, and special events addressing education, employment readiness, and daily living skills; and, for participants ages 18 through 25, housing-stabilization assistance such as rental negotiations, landlord training, supplies, and management of rental funds. Approximately 350 participants are expected to be served each contract year. The County anticipates one three-year contract, with possible renewal options, and estimates funding of $2,549,909 per year, or $7,649,727 over three years.
