Description
Orange County OC Waste & Recycling is soliciting bids for two 40-foot Automatic Tarping Machines, Gen III, with manual top spool locks, fabricated mounting brackets, wireless remote controls with two handheld transmitters, and tethered cab controls. Each unit must meet detailed specifications for a Caterpillar C1.1 Tier IV diesel engine, hydraulic drive and filtration systems, electrical and lighting systems, tarp deployment capabilities, and reinforcement features. The machines must be capable of rolling up and laying down three 40-foot by 100-foot tarp covers and mounting to a dozer or trash-compactor blade. Pricing must include applicable taxes, delivery, vendor travel, and training. The vendor must provide recommended preventive-maintenance procedures, schedules, critical spare-parts information, and hard-copy and electronic operation and maintenance manuals at delivery. Two units are to be delivered separately to the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill in Irvine and the Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. Bids must be submitted electronically through the County's online bidding system, and the solicitation requires extensive supplier information, references, certifications, and specified forms and declarations.
