Description
Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids from its pre-qualified MEP contractor pool to replace the vacuum condensate station at John F. Kennedy High School. The work includes supplying, installing, and commissioning a new vacuum pump with condensate-return capabilities; replacing the master trap and 4-inch gate valve; associated steam and condensate piping; electrical connections, motor starters, controls, and a Building Automation System interface if applicable; and disconnecting and removing the existing equipment. The contractor must coordinate shutdowns, turn over removed equipment to CPS Facilities, secure necessary permits, field-verify conditions before bidding, and comply with the referenced CPS standards and Sections 23 22 14 and 23 22 13. Work is to be performed during normal working hours. The bid cover sheet must be completed, signed, and dated, and the required addendum acknowledgment must be completed. Bids of $25,000 or more require the bidder to be signatory to the relevant union; bids of $50,000 or more must include the premium cost for a performance and payment bond in the full contract amount; and bids of $75,000 or more require MBE/WBE subcontractors and the relevant forms. Warranty information must be submitted when applicable.
