Description
The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) is soliciting bids for the renovation of apartment buildings located at 1323-29 S Kedzie and 1312-16 S Harding in the North Lawndale neighborhood. The scope of work covers multiple divisions including general requirements (with bond premium capped at 6% of Divisions 2-33), existing conditions, masonry, metals, wood/plastics/composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements, and utilities. Bidders must complete the fee form with lump sum base bid totals, including allowances for office overhead (max 2%), profit (max 6%), environmental allowance, and contract contingency (6%). The contract includes a contingency for unforeseen conditions. Bidders may submit bids for one, some, or all buildings, and CHA reserves the right to award to one or multiple contractors.
