Description
Orange County is seeking a contractor to conduct buyer’s-premium public auctions for the County’s in rem tax-foreclosed real-property parcels. The scope includes on-site parcel inspections; photography and property-information gathering; design, printing, and distribution of sales brochures; postcards, property signage, newspaper advertising, and website advertising; and preparation of proposed legal notices. The contractor must conduct auctions in Orange County, New York, with both live in-person and online bidding unless prohibited by law or governmental order. Responsibilities include providing auction equipment and online bidding capability, registering bidders, collecting deposits and payments, preparing auction and closing documents, producing auction video recordings, delivering auction data and reports, and electronically transferring collected funds to the County. Required qualifications include at least five years of auctioneer-services experience, auctioneers with at least five years of live real-property-auction experience and professional certification, state-licensed real estate brokers with at least five years of experience, sufficient staff and resources, and at least three similar professional references from the preceding three years.
