Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is soliciting a contractor to provide annual HVAC maintenance inspections, routine repairs, and emergency repair services for HVAC systems at 13 facilities in the Santa Clara Unit. The scope includes labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, transportation, and related fees; inspection of HVAC units and components; recommendations and supply of replacement parts or systems; removal and installation; testing and commissioning; and disposal of replaced equipment and materials. Annual inspections are to occur in spring or fall, with emergency requests acknowledged within one business day and qualified HVAC personnel responding onsite within two business days unless otherwise authorized. The prime contractor must hold a current California C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning Contractor license and applicable contractor registrations. The solicitation requires prevailing-wage compliance, permits, insurance, and a payment bond for service requests exceeding $25,000. The agreement is expected to run from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2029, subject to approval and notice to proceed.
