Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting quotes for a pay-as-cut, firm-fixed-price timber harvest at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. The work covers approximately 40.5 acres and includes harvesting and removing estimated quantities of pine saw timber, pine pulpwood, hardwood saw timber, and hardwood pulpwood. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and related services; timber will be weighed or scaled for payment based on quoted unit rates. The contractor must comply with Tennessee logging best management practices, protect wetlands and environmentally sensitive areas, repair roads, crossings, skid trails, loading areas, and other property damaged by operations, remove logging debris, and address safety, security, fire prevention, and unexploded-ordnance requirements. Technical acceptability requires a current Tennessee Master Logger or reciprocal certification for the on-site supervisor, a surety commitment for a $2,000 performance bond, qualifying insurance, and attendance at the mandatory site visit. The period of performance is 12 months from the Notice to Proceed.
