Description
The City of Brookings is soliciting a contractor for as-needed, year-round removal of marked dead, dying, or diseased trees at various locations throughout the city. The contractor must provide all equipment, tools, transportation, labor, and services; remove and dispose of tree debris; complete each property's removal work on the same day unless otherwise approved; and clean sidewalks, landscaping, and hard surfaces after completion. The contractor is responsible for damage to turf, trees, shrubs, private property, or fixed objects caused by the work. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with a possible additional 12-month renewal upon written approval by both parties. The contractor must provide proof of general liability and workers' compensation insurance before contract execution, maintain $1,000,000 general liability coverage per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate coverage, name the City as an additional insured, and perform the work without subcontracting or transferring the contract. Proposals are evaluated based on cost, completeness, references, and ability to perform the requirements.
