Description
This construction bid covers the metal framing, cement plaster, and drywall package for the Vista Continuation High School New Campus. The contractor must provide cold-formed and light-gauge metal framing; exterior gypsum sheathing; rigid wall insulation; weather-resistive barriers and flashing; penetration firestopping; access doors and frames; exterior Portland cement plaster with an acrylic finish; interior and exterior gypsum board, including fire-rated, soundproof, moisture-resistant, and cementitious backer board; drywall finishes; backing for railings, grab bars, markerboards, tackboards, MEP fixtures, and equipment; trim, joint compounds, sealants, scaffolding, access equipment, mock-ups, samples, shop drawings, coordination, protection, cleanup, and as-built documentation. The work is a public-works construction package with a stated estimated bid value of $3,700,522.34 and an anticipated duration of 490 calendar days. Bidders must hold a California C-9 or C-35 contractor license, submit a 10 percent bid bond, and provide payment and performance bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. The solicitation also requires prequalification where applicable, prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations compliance, a three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal or documented good-faith effort, and specified workers' compensation, general liability, auto liability, and pollution liability insurance.
