Description
Kern High School District is soliciting a prime contractor for Bid No. 6937 to furnish and install all food service equipment identified in the specifications and equipment schedules for the Vista Continuation High School new campus. The scope includes equipment fabrication, delivery, unloading, staging, installation, leveling, anchoring, sealing, utility connection modifications, debris removal, startup, calibration, shop drawings, product data, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, training and demonstrations, testing, permits, certifications, and field layout. The work specifically includes stainless-steel fixtures, wall coverings, shelving, counters, serving counters, worktables, waste containers, hose reels, air curtains, and complete walk-in coolers and freezers with insulated panels, remote refrigeration systems, piping, wiring, compressors, condensers, lighting, alarms, thermostats, and support racks. The prime contractor must coordinate related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements and submit required project documentation through Procore. The opportunity is a lump-sum public works bid with an estimated value of $649,673.61, a 10 percent bid bond, 100 percent payment and performance bonds, prevailing-wage requirements, contractor prequalification, and California contractor license classification C-43 or C-61 and D-34.
