Description
The contractor will furnish and install all thermal and acoustical blanket insulation for the building envelope and interior assemblies, including fiberglass and mineral wool batts, roll insulation, and semi-rigid board insulation. The scope also includes fire-stopping and fire-resistant blanket insulation, continuous exterior insulation systems, insulation in wall, floor, ceiling, roof, chase, soffit, furred-space, and perimeter-foundation applications, and all associated vapor retarders, air barriers, facings, adhesives, fasteners, supports, retaining systems, sealants, flashing, and substrate preparation. The work includes cutting, fitting, and sealing around penetrations; coordination with carpentry, drywall, and MEP trades; layout drawings and insulation schedules identifying types, thicknesses, R-values, and locations; required inspections and testing; material protection; and as-built documentation. This is a California public-works prime contract requiring a C-2 insulation contractor's license, prequalification where applicable, prevailing-wage compliance, a 10 percent bid bond, and 100 percent payment and performance bonds. The estimated bid value is $396,041.64, and the stated project duration is 490 calendar days.
