Description
The project requires furnishing and installing all interior and exterior hollow metal doors, hollow metal and aluminum frames, solid-core wood doors, louvered doors, narrow vision-panel doors, vision lights, sidelights, door and frame louvers, and associated hardware. Hardware includes hinges, locksets, closers, exit devices, cylinders, cores, construction and final keying, panic hardware, stops, thresholds, sweeps, weather stripping, fire-rated components, kick plates, seals, and related accessories. The work also includes preparing doors and frames for district-provided access control, coordinating with electrical, fire alarm, low-voltage, glazing, the construction manager, and the Owner, verifying openings and wall thicknesses before fabrication, installing anchorage and welding where required, and delivering, storing, protecting, adjusting, and aligning the completed installations. Glazing, aluminum storefront, overhead coiling and sectional doors, gates, temporary fencing, temporary toilets, dumpsters, and certain other work are excluded. This is a prevailing-wage public-works prime contract with a 490-calendar-day anticipated project duration. Bidders must hold the required California contractor license classification, be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, satisfy the applicable prequalification requirements, submit a 10 percent bid security, and provide payment and performance bonds at 100 percent of the contract amount if awarded. The estimated bid value is $594,284, and the solicitation includes a three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal or good-faith-effort alternative.
