Description
Kern High School District is soliciting a lump-sum bid for Bid No. 6938, covering the furnishing and complete installation of gymnasium equipment, outdoor basketball equipment, and baseball field equipment at the Vista Continuation High School new campus. The scope includes posts, bracing, hardware, fence guards and caps, netting, wall safety padding, sleeves, attachments, anchors, fasteners, hangers, fittings, straps, cabling, coring, grouting, caulking, excavation, concrete footings and reinforcing steel, grading, spoils removal, layout, equipment, and protection of existing utilities and work. The project is a public-works construction package with a stated estimated bid value of $869,988.25 and an anticipated duration of 490 calendar days. The prime contractor must hold California license classifications C-61 and D-34 and must satisfy the stated prequalification requirements. The bid requires a 10 percent bid bond; a 100 percent payment bond and 100 percent performance bond are required before work begins. The solicitation also requires prevailing-wage compliance, applicable DVBE participation or good-faith-effort documentation, insurance, and submission of the prescribed bid forms and supporting declarations.
