Description
Kern High School District is soliciting a lump-sum bid from a prequalified prime contractor for a turn-key, pre-engineered bus drop-off shade canopy at Vista Continuation High School. The scope includes furnishing and installing the canopy, structural members, roof panels, welding, bolting, grouting, concrete foundations, excavation, reinforcing steel, backfill, gutters, downspouts, powder-coat finish, flashings, brackets, supports, hangers, final connections, utility coordination, removal of construction spoils, project documentation, and as-built documentation. The bid includes an alternate. Prime contractors and applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors must complete the required prequalification process before bidding. The project is a California prevailing-wage public works project with a three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal or good-faith-effort requirement. The estimated bid value is $372,912.76, the anticipated duration is 490 calendar days, and bid, payment, and performance bonds are required.
