Description
The City of Bakersfield is soliciting Statements of Qualifications and fee proposals from engineering firms to design Phase 0 improvements at Wastewater Treatment Plants Nos. 2 and 3. Plant 2 improvements generally include stabilizing and rehabilitating the existing 25-million-gallon-per-day facility, while Plant 3 improvements generally include rehabilitating and installing equipment to achieve its permitted 32-million-gallon-per-day treatment capacity. The selected consultant or consultants will provide preliminary design reports, detailed design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and engineering services through bidding and construction. Services include project management, design reviews at 30%, 60%, and 90% stages, bidding support, construction submittal review, general construction observation, change-order support, and record drawings. The proposal must address qualifications, comparable public works experience, key personnel, claims history, insurance coverage, project approach, and separate fee proposals for each plant. The City may award one or two agreements.
