Description
Kern County Waste Management Department is seeking four new and unused, most current-model 48-foot tandem-axle refuse transfer semi-trailers with walking floors. The trailers must have aluminum/steel construction, approximately 135-cubic-yard capacity, specified dimensions and weight limits, tandem air-ride suspension, axles and brakes, aluminum wheels and tires, barn doors, lighting, safety equipment, load scales, roll-up electric covers, and related components. Each trailer must include a bidirectional hydraulic self-unloading floor compatible with a tractor-mounted wet kit, with specified cylinders, hydraulic lines, floor extrusions, drive mechanism, and unloading capabilities. Bidders may offer equivalent products but must provide specifications and illustrations for any proposed equivalent. The response must include completed and initialed specifications, pricing, delivery availability, warranty and service information, and any exceptions. The successful vendor must provide parts and service within a 72-hour request window and warranty service within Kern County or through an approved mobile service arrangement.
