Description
The Texas Juvenile Justice Department is soliciting an annual contract for professional barber services at Evins State Juvenile Correctional Facility. The awarded service provider must be a licensed barber, pass background and fingerprinting checks, comply with the Prison Rape Elimination Act and facility policies, and perform services on campus within each dorm. The scope includes approximately 160 to 165 haircuts per month, although quantities are not guaranteed. Services include regular number 0 through number 3 blade cuts, edge-ups, fades, and other boys' free-world haircuts, generally on weekdays during daytime hours. The provider must adapt service days and times to the facility schedule, submit a copy of the barber license with the bid, and may use other licensed individuals only if they pass required checks and receive facility approval. Third-party bidders are not allowed; the bidder must be the responsible party performing on campus.
