Description
The Texas Juvenile Justice Department is soliciting barber services for male youth at Gainesville State Juvenile Correctional Facility. The contractor must provide one haircut per month per youth, including regular guard cuts from zero through three, edge-ups, fades, and boys' free-world haircuts. Services will be performed on campus within each dorm on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no guaranteed minimum quantity of haircuts. The contractor must supply all barber tools and supplies, submit an inventory for prior approval, comply with facility entry-search and prohibited-item requirements, and provide staff information for criminal background checks and facility approval. The contractor must comply with applicable TJJD policies and the Prison Rape Elimination Act. The initial term is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with one optional renewal term from October 1, 2027, through September 30, 2028. Bids must be signed and submitted electronically by email, without encryption, password protection, or embedded documents.
