Description
Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District is soliciting a term contractor to perform semiannual inspections and service of its kitchen hood fire suppression systems during the last two weeks of June and December. Work must follow NFPA 96 and the manufacturer's installation manual and includes replacing fusible links, checking and aligning nozzles, replacing or verifying nozzle covers, securing piping, testing pull stations or detection-line integrity, verifying fire alarm and fuel-shutoff operation, and resetting systems after service. The contractor must provide inspection and repair schedules, pass/fail reports within 10 days of inspection, and detailed lists of parts needed to bring failed systems into compliance. Pricing is requested for two annual inspections, repair labor by the hour, and parts at cost plus a stated profit margin. No subcontractors are allowed. The contract begins November 1, 2026, or soon thereafter, through October 31, 2027, with a possible additional two-year renewal term. No estimated cost range was provided.
