Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks a contractor to provide a turnkey replacement of the perimeter fence around Pasture 7 at the Cattle Fever Tick Research Laboratory. The work includes removing the existing 4-foot fence; furnishing and installing approximately 3,500 linear feet of new 8-foot game fencing; replacing posts and T-posts; adding supports as needed; replacing gates; and burying 24 inches of fencing in a 12-by-24-inch trench outside the fence to prevent wildlife from digging underneath. The contractor must provide all materials, installation, permits, cleanup, and repairs for damage caused during the work, while complying with applicable federal, state, local, ARS, UFGS, safety, and construction requirements. The contractor must submit technical and cost proposals, coordinate work around ongoing research operations, provide a full-time qualified superintendent, and complete required safety, quality-control, environmental, scheduling, and material submittals. The project has a mandatory 60-calendar-day completion period after notice to proceed, with work commencing within 10 calendar days after notice to proceed. Davis-Bacon wage requirements apply, and proof of insurance is required. Proposals will be evaluated primarily on technical approach, key personnel, performance schedule, price reasonableness, and acceptable or neutral past performance.
