Description
The City of Lakeland is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to resurface eight existing pickleball courts at Kelly Recreation Complex. The work includes surface cleaning and preparation, machine sanding as needed, crack measurement and repairs, acrylic resurfacing and color coats, painting six sets of lines in three colors, temporary protection and signage, cleanup, and removal of excess materials and debris. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, temporary protection, and materials. Products must meet the stated acrylic, solids-content, weight, and other specifications; approved products include Plexipave by California Products Corporation and RiteWay Crack Repair, with no alternates currently accepted in the project specifications. Vendors must be certified to apply both product lines and submit the corresponding certification records and product warranty. The proposal must include business licensing, at least three comparable projects completed within the past three years, key-personnel resumes or bios, a completed fee proposal, and a preliminary schedule based on an October 5, 2026 start date. A certificate of existing insurance or affidavit of insurability is required with the proposal, and the indemnification agreement and human trafficking affidavit must be completed and submitted as specified.
