Description
The Town of Gallatin is soliciting proposals from qualified solar installation contractors to design, supply, and install a photovoltaic solar system serving Town Hall. The solicitation calls for a ground-mounted system but permits bidders to propose roof-mounted or solar-carport alternatives when supported by long-term benefit and cost-effectiveness. The system size should account for the building’s intermittent use, a potential transition to heat pumps, and the Town’s electricity needs; bidders may submit multiple solutions. An optional add-alternate is requested for co-located battery energy storage, which could replace the Town’s unserviceable generator. The Town may also consider separate pricing for site clearing. The solicitation materials include a property survey, utility bills for Town Hall and the courthouse, and a pre-bid site-visit Q&A. The target in-service date is the end of 2027 under the Town’s grant requirements, with a PV system proposal and related metrics workbook due for the grant application by December 31, 2026.
