Description
The City and County of Butte-Silver Bow is soliciting bids for a Custom Solar Photovoltaic Incentive Project at the Butte-Silver Bow Library. The contractor must furnish and install new solar PV panels, mounting brackets and hardware, conduit and wire, an inverter, electrical disconnects, lightning protection, miscellaneous electrical equipment, and electrical enclosures; integrate the system into the building’s electrical panel; obtain required permits; perform asbestos and installation inspections; and ensure the completed installation meets applicable National Electrical Code requirements and passes electrical inspection. The contractor must also provide manufacturer’s written warranties, inspection reports, as-built wiring diagrams, and submittal documentation. The work includes all required labor and materials and must be performed by a contractor with a proper Montana Certificate of Construction Registration and current prequalification from Northwestern Energy for the Custom Solar Photovoltaic Incentive Project. Bids require bid security of at least 10% of the aggregate bid. The successful contractor must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, required insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, and certified payroll documentation. The contract is scheduled for award on October 21, 2026; substantial completion is required within 60 days after the Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 15 days thereafter.
