Description
The Virginia Department of Energy is administering a grant program established by the Virginia General Assembly to help public bodies offset the costs of interconnecting distributed solar energy systems to the electric grid. Eligible costs may include utility-required system upgrades, protection equipment, engineering studies, and other infrastructure improvements. The application requires information addressing the organization, project introduction, scope of work and timeline, site selection and project details, project readiness, interconnection study details, community benefits, project need, and financial details. The opportunity is identified as a grant and accepts paper responses only.
